Rare First Edition of Pride and Prejudice On Display

A rare first edition of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice has gone on display at the National Library of Scotland.

The book is the centrepiece of an exhibition about the influence of Austen’s novel over the last 200 years.

The displays look at how the story and characters have been interpreted by different generations, including fan faction and modern versions which have even introduced zombies into the world of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy.
