What Would Your Animal Be?
In chapter seven we meet Beorn. Now, this man is a shape shifter. At times he is either man or bear and once you meet him you understand clearly why he turns into a bear. This made me think, what would I turn into if I was an animal? So, basically, quiz time!! Which animal would you shape shift into?
1) You have had a long day at the office and you come home to a disaster area. You:
a) Understand that maybe everyone else had a bad day too and are sensitive to their needs. You guide everyone through cleaning and remind them that you love them still.
b) Make a clear goal for cleaning up the mess and fully understand each step that needs to be taken.
c) Always have the stamina to keep going but there are times when these situations just make you blow a gasket.
d) Know that the quicker you get the place cleaned, the quicker you can head to bed. You see the light at the end of the tunnel.
e) Clean the entire place up by yourself and do it with grace.
2) A new job opportunity has popped up but it is in another country. You:
a) Cannot possibly leave the family and friends you love so much. You’d give up the better pay of this job to remain loyal to those you care the most about.
b) Make a plan of action and determine every aspect of this job change. You only act once you feel you fully understand all the consequences of this decision.
c) Jump at the chance to go. You think very little about the consequences and feel that freedom of movement is the biggest draw you can have.
d) Weigh all the options and make the wisest decision possible. Your intellect and deep understanding of yourself and others will guide you cleanly through this process.
e) Are scared to move but face the impending change with courage. The draw of freedom is the biggest pull for you and besides you can make it on your own.

d) Use the uncanny wisdom you naturally possess to quickly understand the situation. You dial 911 because that’s what logic dictates.
e) Attempt to calm the fighters down and fear very little for your own safety. You seem to possess courage by the bucket full.

Mostly A – Dog
The dog is a protector and guardian. Their acute hearing and keen sight forewarned their masters of impending danger. They serve selflessly never asking for their service to be praised. They hold the energies of unconditional love and teach us its true meaning. Dogs are intelligent and sensitive. They are able to sniff out dangerous situations accurately and guide us into safety.
Mostly B – Coyote
Coyote is a cunning adversary. He sniffs the air and surrounding plants and stones looking for the scent of prey. Once a scent is located he stalks with great stealth and circles the area in which prey is located to understand possible escape routes and determine the best area suitable for an attack to take place. They fully understand the circumstances surrounding situations in every day life and to develop reasonable plans to achieve our goals. Coyotes are excellent teachers, providers and protectors of their families. They will go to extreme lengths to insure the safety and well-being of their offspring.
Mostly C – Elk
Elk can run forever. They have great stamina and are powerful beings with excellent reflexes. Elk are very unpredictable too. They can be friendly one moment and angry the next. The Elk is sensitive to signs of danger and when threatened, may stand and fight to the end or the herd may run in every direction to confuse predators. Elk live in large herds, but a lone elk can often be seen. Elk graze during the day only — never at night. But if disturbed, such as by humans during hunting season, they will feed only at night. An adult bull elk with antlers is a formidable opponent against any animal, including mountain lion and bear. The Elk has fantastic stamina, strength, freedom, and agility.
Mostly D – Owl
The secretive habits of the owl, its quiet flight and various calls from whistles, screeches and hoots, have made them objects of fear and superstition. Individuals whose sign is the owl are deep and complex. They are wise beyond their years and know to put past events behind them. They are known to face their fears head on and know that through the darkness there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
Mostly E – Horse
Speed, strength, and grace are the finer qualities of this noble animal. Freedom is a predominate theme amoung their lives. There’s a wild spirit inside but a gentleness and tolerance. They are intensely independent and always forge their own paths ahead. They have an inner power of courage and are able to easily carry the burdens of life.
