Re-Elected Mayor Has Plans to Raise Money and Start Preschool
I have always stated that children are the best judges. They are the best judge of character, morality, and common sense. They just don’t have all the garbage in their brains that adults have. So, I was heartened by the story of little Robert “Bobby” Tufts.
When you think politician and mayors, like most people you probably think of some white haired old fart in a suit. However, the town of Dorset, Minnesota had a different take on things. They re-elected the four year old to another year of service as their mayor and they wouldn’t have it any other way!
He may not have even gone to preschool yet but that does not hold this little mayor back. He has big plans for his town. His agenda includes raising money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley in Fargo, N.D., a new welcome sign for Dorset, and he wants to do a snowshoe scavengaer hunt this winter to raise money. He also has plans to start preschool this fall. Not too shabby for a mayor who has to be in bed at 8 every night!
